Ear App - Local Processing
Ear processes all audio recordings locally on your Mac. Your audio never leaves your device. When you enable AI summaries:
- Only transcribed text is sent to AI providers (never audio)
- You can use local AI models for complete offline operation
- No data is stored on our servers
Information We Collect
We may collect:
- Information you provide when contacting us
- Basic device information and crash reports (if enabled)
- App usage analytics (anonymous, if enabled)
Third-Party Services
If you choose to use cloud AI features, your transcribed text may be processed by third-party AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) according to their privacy policies.
